Ash Handling

Ash constitutes 30-40% of the coal used for power generation. A coal operating plant having a capacity of 1000MW will produce 400-450 million tonnes of ash per hour, out of which 20% is bottom ash and the rest is fly ash. The ash is then dumped into pits via ash handling systems from where it needs to be conveyed to ash ponds by mixing with water and pumping. The slurry from the ash ponds also needs to be disposed periodically using high capacity slurry pumps. We offer different types of slurry pumps with a wide range of capacities and head to suit to varied pumping requirements.
